Characters

There are nine principal characters in the show, described below. There are several other minor characters: two newsreaders, four pupils, three secretaries and a health and safety official, making a total of nineteen speaking characters altogether.

Hannah

Hannah

An intelligent, head-strong girl of about eleven. She is very sensible, won’t take any nonsense, and isn’t afraid to speak out for what she believes in. She tries to encourage the superheroes to defeat the villains using their powers as human beings.

Mr Zuper / Ant Man

As Mr Zuper, he is a pleasant yet boring teacher. As Ant Man, he is the superheroes’ leader. He’s frustrated about the health and safety restrictions, but follows them because he’s a teacher and teachers stick to the rules. He doesn’t like violence, and would rather sort things out calmly.

Mr Zuper or Ant Man

Rat Man

Rat Man

Rat Man is very angry about the health and safety restrictions, and is desperate to use his powers and speed around in his beloved Ratmobile. He is very outspoken and often breaks the rules. He is definitely not prepared to let the villains win without a fight.

Robin Hood

A bit of a scamp. He’s not allowed to use his sword or wear his hood, but he’s more or less accepted the health and safety regulations. He tends to let Rat Man and Ant Man do most of the talking, but is very willing to swashbuckle when the time comes.

Robin Hood

Wasp Girl

Wasp Girl

Wasp Girl usually irritates villains into submission, but the regulations forbid her to use her sting, which she is very frustrated about. She is quite maternal towards the other heroes.

The Chef

An Italian master of meals. He is incredibly annoyed that he cannot cook for anyone unless they sign allergy forms and runny egg disclaimers; however, his pies come in handy in the end.

The Chef

Dr Strangeglove

Dr Strangeglove

Master of evil villains, who ignores all regulations and wants to take over the world. He lets his sidekicks, Dr Unpleasant and Dr Whatever, do most of the dirty work, and takes control by being evil and threatening.

Dr Unpleasant

Not the cleverest of villains, and relishes his tremendous power to be unpleasant. He’s quite in awe of Dr Strangeglove, and likes being in his team.

Dr Unpleasant

Dr Whatever

Dr Whatever

Dr Who’s less well-known and terribly evil second cousin, Dr Whatever travels back in time and changes historical events for his own amusement. He’s not particularly clued up, but is content to work with Drs Strangeglove and Unpleasant.
